Yacht Charter in Croatia from Trogir: Boats, Planning and Costs 2027

A yacht charter in Croatia starts with three decisions: the right boat, a realistic sailing plan and a complete budget. Freewave charters its own sailing yachts and sailing catamarans from Trogir at Baotić marina Seget. This guide helps you plan for the 2027 season and explains what to include in a useful charter enquiry.

Why start a Croatia yacht charter in Trogir?

The base near Trogir is on the central Dalmatian coast. From here, you can plan a sailing holiday towards Šolta, Brač or Hvar. Suitable destinations depend on wind, weather, available time and your crew’s experience. A flexible list of possible stops is more useful than a rigid itinerary with a compulsory destination every day.

Treat arrival as a handover day. Registration, checking documents, inspecting the boat and the safety briefing all take time. Before travelling, confirm the meeting point, agreed handover and return to base. Our check-in and check-out information complements the details in your booking.

Which sailing yacht suits your crew?

The Freewave fleet for 2027 comprises 24 boats: 22 monohull sailing yachts and two sailing catamarans. The monohulls have three to five cabins. Look beyond maximum capacity and price: consider how many separate cabins you need, the number of toilets and the equipment that matters to your group.

  • Couples and smaller crews: start by comparing three-cabin yachts. Fewer cabins may be entirely sufficient for your group.
  • Families and friends: compare the layout of cabins and bathrooms. A saloon berth is different from a private cabin.
  • Larger crews: five-cabin yachts can provide more separate sleeping spaces. Check your preferred occupancy against the individual boat’s specification.

Options include Hanse 388, Bavaria C45, Hanse 460 and the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455. The fleet overview with technical data and layouts presents the individual boats. If you prefer a different layout and more living space, compare Lagoon 40 and Excess 12 as well.

How much does a yacht charter in Croatia cost in 2027?

The weekly rate depends on the boat and season. Compare quotations for the same yacht, dates and included services. The lowest base rate alone does not describe the complete holiday budget.

An example from the 2027 pricelist: the published weekly rate for Bavaria C45 “Brunello” between 27 March and 24 April is €1,800. For this four-cabin yacht, end cleaning and transit log cost €325, with a marina fee of €50 per charter. This totals €2,175 before tourist tax, fuel, additional berthing and optional services. The refundable security deposit of €1,500 is provided separately and is not a normal spending item.

This calculation is not a promise of availability. Your dates, confirmed booking and agreed services determine the final arrangement. The current 2027 pricelist contains seasonal weekly rates, supplements and the complete downloadable PDF.

What else belongs in your sailing budget?

  • Tourist tax for the people liable to pay it and the relevant days
  • Fuel according to your use of the boat
  • Berthing and anchoring fees outside the agreed base services
  • Travel, provisions and any parking or transfers
  • Chosen extras such as an outboard, SUP or a separately booked skipper

Keep spending on services separate from the security deposit. Check which extras are already included in your booking so that you do not budget for the same service twice.

Should you start on Saturday or Wednesday?

Most boats are offered for weekly charters starting on Saturday. The 2027 pricelist also includes Wednesday departures for Bavaria 46 “Bardolino” and Bavaria 41 “Barbera”. A different handover day may suit your travel arrangements; availability still depends on the individual boat.

What should you include in a charter enquiry?

Tell us your preferred dates, number of people, cabin requirements, preferred model or boat type and whether you want a skipper. For a bareboat charter, the appropriate boating and radio qualifications need to be checked before booking. If you are unsure, send Freewave the details of your certificate for review.
